Currently, we are searching for an experienced Data Engineer (Python) to become a great addition to our team. Our client is looking for a Data Engineer with leadership skills for a banking project, based in Lithuania or willing to relocate.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or similar roles;
- Experience working with databases, their structures, and optimisation (SQL, NoSQL);
- Ability to design and manage Data Lake and Data Mart solutions;
- Strong knowledge of ETL/WTL processes and their automation;
- Basic or initial experience with Python (for data manipulation or process automation);
- Understanding of data warehouse architecture and strategies (e.g., Kimball or Inmon methodologies);
- Upper-intermediate English level.
Desired Skills:
- Experience working in the financial services sector or with Core Banking solutions;
- Knowledge of cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) for data processing and storage;
- Experience optimizing large datasets (Big Data) and using related technologies (e.g., Apache Spark, Kafka).
Leadership Skills:
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple Projects;
- Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders;
- Ability to manage the development process and support team members;
- Maintain high-quality coding standards within the team.
Soft Skills:
- Analytical thinking and the ability to quickly understand complex data structures;
- Teamwork and collaboration with various stakeholders (developers, analysts, managers);
- Ability to create documentation and define tasks for the team.
