Data Engineer (Python)

QA Madness is a European IT service company focusing strongly on QA and cybersecurity. The company was founded in 2013 and is headquartered in Poland.

Currently, we are searching for an experienced Data Engineer (Python) to become a great addition to our team. Our client is looking for a Data Engineer with leadership skills for a banking project, based in Lithuania or willing to relocate.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or similar roles;
• Experience working with databases, their structures, and optimisation (SQL, NoSQL);
• Ability to design and manage Data Lake and Data Mart solutions;
• Strong knowledge of ETL/WTL processes and their automation;
• Basic or initial experience with Python (for data manipulation or process automation);
• Understanding of data warehouse architecture and strategies (e.g., Kimball or Inmon methodologies);
• Upper-intermediate English level.

Desired Skills:

• Experience working in the financial services sector or with Core Banking solutions;
• Knowledge of cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) for data processing and storage;
• Experience optimizing large datasets (Big Data) and using related technologies (e.g., Apache Spark, Kafka).

Leadership Skills:

• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple Projects;
• Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders;
• Ability to manage the development process and support team members;
• Maintain high-quality coding standards within the team.

Soft Skills:

• Analytical thinking and the ability to quickly understand complex data structures;
• Teamwork and collaboration with various stakeholders (developers, analysts, managers);
• Ability to create documentation and define tasks for the team.
